Hi, we are Darren and Rachel with our dog Archie!

Thanks for clicking on our website, here’s a little bit about us. We moved to Western Australia in April 2006 from a little island called Guernsey in the Channel Islands.

We have been exploring the coastline of Western Australia for the last couple of decades, we first started in a tent...that was a very long time ago, and then we upgraded to a camper trailer, which gave us the ability to travel further and camp off grid. Around this time we started an Instagram account so that we could share some of our travel photo’s for family and friends back on the Island. Then in February 2018 we bought the off road Caravan that we have today, having the caravan has allowed us to travel further and be more off grid. We wanted to be able to show our family and friends more of our adventures, so we decided to create a YouTube Channel, it was a way that we could take everyone with us….As we Adventure Aus

Our dog, Archie, joined us in 2019 and has travelled with us on every trip since.

In November 2024, after a long year of planning and saving, we gave up our jobs and set off traveling full-time on our LAP OF AUSTRALIA.

Archie!
The star of the show

Archie is a mini Labradoodle!! OK, he’s not quite a mini, his body didn’t get the ‘Mini’ part of the memo when he was growing! At 18 kgs he is more a small medium, but whatever size he is, he is just perfect for us.

We adopted Archie in November 2019 when he was just 10 weeks old, he is the bestest boy and has an amazing temperament.

Archie loves attention which is lucky because most people that meet him love to say hi. He enjoys playing with children, and socialises well with other friendly dogs.

His favourite foods are tasty dried meat treats, and he loves a good butt scratch. Archie also has his own Instagram account, his account is Sir Archibald McFloof.
